Our intention\u00a0to put Waterloo Bridge on the map as The Ladies Bridge, has led us to make films, and host many events.<\/h4>\n

Starting in 2005 with The Ladies Bridge documentary and substantiated by Prof Wall\u2019s research, there followed a ten year campaign resulting in\u00a0Historic England\u2019s\u00a02015 official listing.\u00a0This placed Waterloo\u00a0bridge as an icon of women\u2019s often unrecognised contribution to society, firmly in the popular imagination<\/p>\n

\u00a0LONDON HISTORY DAY<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Ladies Bridge team collaborated with the Women\u2019s\u00a0Library at the\u00a0LSE, London School of Economics and Political Science\u00a0<\/a>. We had \u00a0two full house screenings of our film at the LSE, a lively discussion and then marched down to Waterloo Bridge to \u00a0celebrate\u00a0the renewed interest in a #<\/s>blueplaque\u00a0<\/b><\/a>and #LONDONHISTORYDAY by giving WATERLOO Bridge a temporary plaque.<\/h4>\n

September 2018<\/h2>\n

We explored the link between suffrage and women working in non\u00a0traditional roles with two workshops, Make more Noise & Taking Off :<\/h4>\n

Taking Off: the I.E.T. Opens It\u2019s Doors<\/h2>\n

Jenny Lockyer\u00a0performing as\u00a0the invincible Amy Johnson joined the Ladies bridge team in creating an exciting day of activities around women in engineering, emphasising\u00a0the vital links\u00a0between\u00a0accessing\u00a0work previously closed to women and\u00a0the rise of the\u00a0suffrage movement.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u00a0June 2018 \u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u00a0<\/b>Make More Noise \u00a0Conway Hall<\/h2>\n

Over 70 women and a handful of men enjoyed performances by Brit school students from the play \u201cHer Naked Skin\u201d and excerpts from a play written and performed by students at University of the Creative arts. We were also treated to Zoe Philpotts new show Ada\u2019s Army alongside making headscarves, badges and art.<\/h4>\n

A week later, we celebrated the centenary of the first women to get the vote by making a unique\u00a0banner of cloth and metal with which we marched through London as part of Artichoke\u2019s iconic PROCESSION<\/a>.<\/h4>\n

September 2016 \u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Light up the Ladies Bridge<\/h2>\n

We celebrated the\u00a02015\u00a0Historic England\u00a0listing \u00a0with a three day event event, mixing\u00a0epic projections on the National Theatre tower and \u00a0arches of the bridgeand: a \u00a0community choir; live music and over two hundred\u00a0people joining hands across the bridge to make a human chain campaigning for a blue plaque to be placed on the bridge.\u00a0This event was enjoyed by thousands and was part of the Totally Thames Festival: Take Me to the River.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
